I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. Psalm 119:7 (NIV)

Laity. Layperson. Congregant. That’s who I am.

I try to spend time daily in meditation with God reading the Bible or devotionals. Praying. Communing with other like-minded persons. Thinking about what I’m reading. Writing about what I’m thinking.

For many years, outlines for devotional messages were sparked as I read Scriptures or devotionals. The Holy Spirit spoke, but all I did was jot down vague ideas. When the COVID-19 quarantine turned the world upside down, many (including my pastor) said that we should use the time to hang our Do Not Disturb sign and dedicate time in building our relationship with God. That was my call to stop ignoring the sparks lit by the Holy Spirit and start allowing these sparks to ignite. DND Meditation explores my circuitous journey with the Triune God. I hope my AHA moments, struggles and thoughts can help someone with their walk with God.

Do you experience doubts about God or follow Him faithfully? Are you a recent Christian convert, a rededicated soul, or a seasoned saint? Do you feel distant from God or are you firmly rooted in Christ? I can answer “YES” to each. If you are like me, you move back and forth along these spectrums. Thank you for joining me on this Christian walk as we worship, honor, and praise Him.
